Dr. Dean has been a part of the veterinary team at Animal Aid Clinic South since June of 2003, shortly after her graduation from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. She got married to Kelly in July of 2010. Their daughter, Jasmine, was born in 2012. She and Kelly have 3 cats named Night Star, Sparrow and Nox. Nox was found in their backyard sans his mother with SEVERE medical issues. It was very uncertain whether or not he would survive. The only lasting effect from his rough start is that he is profoundly ornery and into everything! They have two golden retrievers named Pandora and Solo (who is Dr. Dean’s running buddy!). They also have 7 hens of various breeds who are definitely pets, but also provide the family with fresh eggs. Dr. Dean’s hobbies include traveling, running, reading and acrylic painting. She has completed three half marathons and many 5 and 10Ks. She has completed veterinary mission trips to Vietnam in 2006 and Africa in 2012. Dr. Dean entered the profession due to her passion for animals and for their owners. Her favorite part of her job is the constant challenges and the ability to learn something every day.
